Race Information

Ogre

Although strong and healthy, Ogres are somewhat dim witted. They find great pleasure in hacking at monsters and treasure chests. Guilds that pride themselves in spell casting do not accept Ogres.

Osiri

An extremely dexterous race, the Osiri make excellent thieves. They also have a marginal spell casting ability as paladins and sorcerers.

Elf

While Elves are not a very hardy race, they are very wise and intelligent, hence they make excellent spell casters. They also live longer than any other race, even though they have low constitutions.

Troll

Trolls are very strong and quick, and like to make short work of their enemies. Quick to take up sides, they refuse to be neutral.

Cirilian

Cirilians are the most versatile race. They can specialize in most any field from fighting to thieving and even resurrections.

Morloch

Morlochs possess a large amount of natural magic ability, but this is hard on their bodies, giving them a shorter life span and lower constitution. Although strong and swift, they are so ugly they can not charm all monsters.

Human

Humans do not possess any natural magic abilities, but they are very lucky. They also make levels very quickly, which is good because of their very short life span.

Gnome

Being very charismatic, Gnomes make excellent Mages. Good by nature, Gnomes like to help other adventurers serving in the Wizard's and Paladin's guild.

Dwarf

Dwarves are always curious about things, poking into treasure chests, injured adventurers, monsters splattered against the wall, and mapping the dungeon. While allowed into a diverse group of guilds, Dwarves are always neutral.

Giant

Giants live for only one thing, slicing monsters in half with one blow. An exceptionally strong race, Giants will specialize as Warriors and as Villains.

The numbers under the Stat are of the form low/high. For example: Str 7/17 means that a person of that race cannot start with a Strength of less than 7, nor greater than 17. You may not raise a NATURAL stat more than 5 above the maximum listed above. Items may modify a stat up to 40.

G = Good, N = Neutral, E = Evil. The "*" indicates that the race can be of the given alignment.

An asterisk (*) indicates that a character in the given race may join the listed guild. All characters are automatically members of the Nomad guild. There are other requirements to join a guild. For example, you must have a minimum intelligence to join the Mage's guild. More information about these minimum requirements will be presented later.
