Sorcerer Strategies

* Sometimes you will see a big group of monsters that are 'peaced', yet you really want to get their treasure. You cannot cast a big spell because you will get the message 'Takes too long to cast while peaced'. Casting a medium spell that will work while peaced often will not kill all the monsters and you are likely to take a lot of hits.

You can cast 2 spells in one round. (I think this depends on the size of the spells). A better strategy is to cast the smallest spell which will 'unpeace' the monsters, then immediately cast a big spell which will kill all the monsters. For example, encountering 'Silent Eagles' I cast 'firebolt' and then cast 'burning air'. This almost always takes out all the monsters before they even have a chance to hit you. I also do this with spectral dragons - first I cast 'ice spray' and then as quick as I can I cast 'freezing air'. Most of the time this takes out all the dragons. Note that this does not always work.

* this strategy may be disputed by some, but the owner of the wiki claims to have done this many many many times. Some claim that chars get only 1 shot per round.

At lower levels the 'poison' spell is one of the best!
