It's quite easy to transfer characters around in zavatar.

1) Make sure that your characters have a password. To retrieve a character requires that you type the correct password, and empty passwords cannot be matched. Thus a character with no password can be sent away, but not retrieved.

2) Send your character to another signon. The group must exist, but the signon within that group does not have to.

3) Create a new character.

That's all it really takes to run multiple characters.

The caveats are:

1) Be very careful when transferring characters. It is possible to hit the wrong key and delete your character.

2) If the signon you transfer away to does exist, that person has full control over your character if the ever enter the game. They may sell or drop items, change the password, or simply delete the character as they wish.

3) if the signon does not exist, and you forget the password, Mike will not create the signon so that you can change it to something that you do know. That character is now forever inaccessible.
