We will have a meeting with a rough agenda of:
- 4:00 - 4:30 - Arrive at the Sun offices.
- 4:30 - 5:30 - Someone(s) give a talk(s) on a subject(s) that
people have expressed interest in via the mailing list
prior (_well_ prior) to the actual meeting day.
- 5:35 - 6:00 - chat about the talk, or upcoming meetings
- 6:05 - whenever - Optional move to an offsite location for further discussion.
Suggestions for other meeting content (mark as additional or as alternate please)
Proposed meeting format: Lightning talks
- A meeting consists of several short (5-20 minutes, or so) presentations on several, possibly related, topics
Pros:
- Easier for presenters to prepare for
- If a presenter goes AWOL, there's still a meeting
- Some cool topics might not warrant a full meeting
Cons:
- Have to scrounge up enough presenters
